Can't believe it's only a few days to the start of year 2010. Looking back, 2009 has been an OK year overall. To start with, I started taking courses early in the year and was really pleased with the results. Although the past three months had been really stressful, with three subjects and a part-time job, I have just found out that the results of all three subjects were not that bad after all. Now I can really relaaaax!!!
This year has also been a year full of revelation and realization. Revelation of many things, good and bad. Also realization (meaning understanding) of things such as what I would really like to pursue in life, what's important and what I can't tolerate and therefore, should not tolerate.
2009 also seemed to be the year where good things happened. For example: two of my dearest friends announced that they are going to get married (well, one is already married, only the wedding is going to be held next year). I can't wait to see both in their wedding gowns!!
And talking about exciting things, I've made plans to travel back to Medan next year. I'm super excited. I just can't wait to see everybody again. Yay!!
And now, for things to do and not do for the coming year, I've kinda made a list in my mind, I'll try to put them in here:
Do NOT again, buy tops under $7. I ended up wearing them only once which is really a waste of money.
Do NOT take more than two courses in one semester if I don't want to cut my life short a couple of years per semester.
Do exercise more (I know I'll ended up breaking this one in the end).
Do sleep earlier (I'll try).
Do prioritize things in life. And do them instead of just thinking about them!
A decade is soon going to be over since the turn of the millennium. Herein, wishing everyone a very happy new year 2010. May there be abundance, happiness and health in the coming year. And may there be hope and better things to come for everyone. Be safe and have fun!!
It's unbelievable that this blog hasn't been updated since September. These past two months and so have been dedicated to working and studying and next week is exam week .. do'h! Have to study extra hard this week. Liberation is just a few days ahead :)
My current assignment for College English course is to write an essay about challenges people faced in everyday life. I am supposed to be working on this essay now as it is due Tuesday next week, not to mention another assignment due two days from today. Instead of studying and doing assignments, I'm sitting in front of the computer and typing this blog.
What I'm trying to say is, in today's world, there are many challenges to be overcomed in order to concentrate on studying. The challenges, for instance, are things like spending too much time on watching You Tube, playing games and loging into Facebook account. I quoted those example because I did all those three (d'oh).
Now, on You Tube, I've been crazy about Wondergirls, a Korean girl group singers (is there a shorter way to describe it?). They sing catchy-tune songs and their dance moves are so cute I've been learning them. For me, it's really something fun and challenging to do. iDance, the dance game software, now also features songs by Wondergirls. Anyone who stops by might like to check it out, sample as below:
I'd really love to get my hand on this iDance ... hmmm ... and I should really not forget to mention about SS501 in here but for now, I should really get back to studying.
I'm a terrible blogger. It's been nine months since I last wrote. I've also realized that I hated the layout and title of my blog. Maybe that's why I didn't write often. I'm going to work on the layout and a new title. Till next time ...
I had forgotten how much fun going to a concert would be, until I went to one not long ago. And it's not just any concert ... it's Jay Chou's. Before this, as far as I can remember, I went to only one, the Xiao Hu Dui (Little Tigers) concert. I only went to the Little Tigers' because my cousin and I were given the tickets by a friend. But that was another story.
Jay's concert in Toronto was on December 18, 2008 at Air Canada Centre. I went with my two other friends, Nora and Novia (the latter is also an avid fan). For the record, I would not call myself a fan but someone who truly feel and understand his music (or perhaps I'm just in denial). For someone who very rarely attended concerts, the ticket was pretty expensive BUT it was worth every penny.
