Now .. that's better

Kim Hyun Joong, SS501 and more beauty stuff
Anyone who have watched Boys Over Flower (Kkotboda Namja), the popular Korean drama, will know him for sure. Yes, he is super good looking guy, Kim Hyun Joong.

These pictures may be a couple of years old but ... who cares ...

Again, for those who have watched BOF, the real Kim Hyun Joong is way different from his character, Yoon Ji Hoo, in the movie. Yoon Ji Hoo may be caring, understanding and .. rich. But in real life, he is too good to be true. Besides his good looks, there are many reasons to like Kim Hyun Joong:
  • He is obviously cute
  • He knows how to sing and dance - He is the leader of a boy group named SS501. I am also liking SS501 because these guys are just too funny. Oh and their songs are good too!
  • He is a good actor
  • He is so ethereal and angelic looking - someone who had real life encounter with Kim Hyun Joong actually spoke about this. He was spotted in Vancouver just a few days ago and some people actually had close encounter with him. I'm a little bit (ok, a lot) jealous.
  • He is charismatic and a good speaker
  • He is funny and is known for his 4D personality/quirkiness
For anyone who does not currently have any liking to any particular celebrity, I highly recommend Kim Hyun Joong and SS501 *lol*
I'll post below a Korean TV show which has SS501 in it. (Thanks to SuperStarSubbing on You Tube)

Now, about my "on behalf of others" make up haul. They are

I personally think the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils have pretty colors (I haven't really tried them yet). They also have cute names like Pots n Pans, Strawberry Milk or Black Bean.

Beauty stuff
Knowing that I'll soon be flying over for a long visit, my sisters have already given me their shopping lists and 95% of what they want are beauty products! My bedside table's drawer now houses a load of these products from concealers, mascara to night cream.

Thanks to You Tube, now beauty makeover instruction is as simple as a few clicks away. I have been imagining myself doing a beauty makeover video but for someone who puts on make up only once in a while, I'll leave this to someone else who is more of a pro to do it.
Even though that, I do like to purchase make up products. Why? I don't know. Well, I do use them once in a while. Among my beauty splurge ...

Eyeliner brush ...

The brush in the picture is from Sephora, I got mine by Make Up Forever but they do look similar.

MAC eyeshadow in Creme de Violet

Lately, I've been looking out for a good eyeliner pencil which doesn't cost a bomb and today, I just bought:

tadaaa ...
Prestige eyeliner pencil in Deepest Black

I've just tried this little baby out and I'm in love with it. Like its name, the color is intense and highly pigmented. What I love about this eyeliner is, it glides on my lid like a dream. Prestige products never fail to impress me. Actually, I have been using the waterproof eyeliner, also by Prestige and I really like it a lot. The Total Intensity Eyeliner also come in many gorgeous colors like Bold Brown, Daring Green, Fearless Teal, Intense Olive, etc.

Also, lately I have been visiting
http://www.makeupalley.com/ This is a website about beauty products and it features reviews of countless of beauty products from shampoo to fragrances. I found this site really helpful in making decision about purchases, especially when there are hundreds of beauty products in the market, it can get confusing sometimes.

So, I'll be loving my new eyeliner pencil for now. Till next time!

Bye bye 2009
Can't believe it's only a few days to the start of year 2010. Looking back, 2009 has been an OK year overall. To start with, I started taking courses early in the year and was really pleased with the results. Although the past three months had been really stressful, with three subjects and a part-time job, I have just found out that the results of all three subjects were not that bad after all. Now I can really relaaaax!!!

This year has also been a year full of revelation and realization. Revelation of many things, good and bad. Also realization (meaning understanding) of things such as what I would really like to pursue in life, what's important and what I can't tolerate and therefore, should not tolerate.

2009 also seemed to be the year where good things happened. For example: two of my dearest friends announced that they are going to get married (well, one is already married, only the wedding is going to be held next year). I can't wait to see both in their wedding gowns!!

And talking about exciting things, I've made plans to travel back to Medan next year. I'm super excited. I just can't wait to see everybody again. Yay!!

And now, for things to do and not do for the coming year, I've kinda made a list in my mind, I'll try to put them in here:
  1. Do NOT again, buy tops under $7. I ended up wearing them only once which is really a waste of money.
  2. Do NOT take more than two courses in one semester if I don't want to cut my life short a couple of years per semester.
  3. Do exercise more (I know I'll ended up breaking this one in the end).
  4. Do sleep earlier (I'll try).
  5. Do prioritize things in life. And do them instead of just thinking about them!
A decade is soon going to be over since the turn of the millennium. Herein, wishing everyone a very happy new year 2010. May there be abundance, happiness and health in the coming year. And may there be hope and better things to come for everyone. Be safe and have fun!!
Exam
It's unbelievable that this blog hasn't been updated since September. These past two months and so have been dedicated to working and studying and next week is exam week .. do'h! Have to study extra hard this week. Liberation is just a few days ahead :)
Should be studying ... but am not
My current assignment for College English course is to write an essay about challenges people faced in everyday life. I am supposed to be working on this essay now as it is due Tuesday next week, not to mention another assignment due two days from today. Instead of studying and doing assignments, I'm sitting in front of the computer and typing this blog.

What I'm trying to say is, in today's world, there are many challenges to be overcomed in order to concentrate on studying. The challenges, for instance, are things like spending too much time on watching You Tube, playing games and loging into Facebook account. I quoted those example because I did all those three (d'oh).

Now, on You Tube, I've been crazy about Wondergirls, a Korean girl group singers (is there a shorter way to describe it?). They sing catchy-tune songs and their dance moves are so cute I've been learning them. For me, it's really something fun and challenging to do. iDance, the dance game software, now also features songs by Wondergirls. Anyone who stops by might like to check it out, sample as below:

I'd really love to get my hand on this iDance ... hmmm ... and I should really not forget to mention about SS501 in here but for now, I should really get back to studying.
